VCI hood bags made of PE

VCI hood bags made of polyethylene (PE) provide reliable protection against corrosion for metal parts during storage and transport. By integrating VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) active substances into the material, a protective atmosphere is created, preventing rust on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The resealable press closure allows for easy handling and multiple openings and closings without loss of effectiveness.

The hood bags are available in various sizes to meet different requirements. With a material thickness of 120 µ and a density of 0.925 g/cm³, they offer high strength while being flexible. The green color facilitates identification and handling in the warehouse.

Application

Ideal for packaging and protecting metal parts in the industry, especially in mechanical engineering, the automotive sector, and the storage of spare parts. The hood bags can be directly placed over the parts to be protected, providing immediate corrosion protection. For additional protection and stability, complementary products such as adhesive tape for fixation and document pockets for labeling can be used.

Material

Made from recyclable LDPE (low-density polyethylene), the hood bags are environmentally friendly and comply with the requirements of the TRGS 615 standard. The integrated VCI active substance is harmless to health upon skin contact and inhalation. With 6 g of VCI active substance per m², the bags offer effective and long-lasting corrosion protection.
